Biotin is a water soluble vitamin, also known as Vitamin H or B7 and is one of the B complex vitamins that help convert food into energy. Biotin is synthesised by intestinal bacteria. It is a popular supplement that is often recommended for skin, hair and nails. Biotin is used in many cosmetics, hair and skin products.

Follow these tips to see a good sources of Biotin:

Food

Beef or pork liver, salmon, eggs, whole wheat bread, avocado, cauliflower, cheddar cheese, bananas and mushrooms.


Tip 2

Supplements

Biotin can be taken as part of a multivitamin or on its own as a tablet or oral spray. My preferred is VitSpritz oral spray.

Products

Biotin can be found as an ingredient in many shampoos, conditioners, cosmetics and skin moisturisers.
